This is always an interesting topic, what wears “well” with a suit. First of all, OP, I think that looks fantastic!
Are we really at the point where a Rolex watch would be considered inappropriate with just about any type of dress? Maybe wearing a DayDate to the beach would look a little off, but what about wearing that same DayDate with jeans and a T shirt? I don’t think that would look out of place at all. Same goes for a Datejust, in a suit or shorts, I think it fits right in. The SD maybe does seem a bit bulky for a suit, but I don’t think it would be noticed or considered “out of place.” Am I wrong? |

In the past, when my mother was younger, I had her move the button on the left sleeve of all my shirts to the very end of the cuff and also put some extra height in the thread that connects the button with the cuff. She was extremely skillful.
The best pic that I found with my SD under a shirt cuff I also wear it over the shirt cuff (this one is super tight) but under the suit cuff. |

Looks great. I wear a suit almost daily with my Deep Sea Sea Dweller. I have ruined a couple of shirt cuffs over time, but looks stunning.

Nice.
You can show it off like that. You can’t wear it like that.

I'm with you. I wear my sub with my suit and I wear my DD36 with a t shirt and leather jacket on my motorcycle.

Looks great. It is all about the tailoring of the dress shirt as to if it fits. But that can be said for a lot of watches.

A SD is not perfect with a suit but it is very nice 😀
I would suggest to always have a white shirt under that suit and a tie of a breaking color … (green or red for example) … 😁🤪🇮🇹 |

I completely agree! The Sea-Dweller is known for its robust design and diving capabilities, but it's fascinating to see how well it can blend with a formal outfit like a suit. It's a testament to its versatile design that transcends beyond its intended use. While a thinner dress watch might be on your radar for the future, there's something remarkably distinctive about pairing the SD43 with elegant attire.

I toy with the idea of getting a dressier black DJ, but have a hard time justifying because I rarely dress up. Wear a suit maybe four times a year. Love the look of a DJ, that SD looks just fine dressed up. Save me 9K. Thanks

My SD4K has been to countless client meetings, fancy events, and Michelin starred restaurants… never have I been asked to leave or change my timepiece. I’d say it can hold its own in the field or dolled up… :-)
Lots of SD love posts last few days lol. |

When i went to Europe for 17 days, i took only one watch. To that end, i wore a white explorer 2 with a suit to a wedding. Normally it would not be my choice for such an event (i'd wear a sub or daytona) but compared to the folks wearing Apple watches, i'd say it was fine. The only other mechanical watch i saw at the wedding was an American Airlines pilot wearing a Navitimer.

I've worn a Panerai w/a suit. Would I do it every day and in every situation, no. But a big watch can be fine. Not all suit occasions are the same. I think the SD43 looks great.
