Just looked up Rolex Ambassador and this guy popped up.

Classy. Rich. Dominated his sport. No drama. Can put together a sentence and articulate a thought. Doesn’t drive a Tesla.

Etch this in your minds.

Jackie Stewart?

What’s so bad about a Tesla?

Nothing. It’s an example of his own intelligence and research directing his actions, not marketing or subsidies. True Rolex person.

Do you understand the irony in this?

Tesla doesn't spend anything on marketing.

Rolex is literally a marketing company.

Your boss wears a Rolex.

Maybe its time he gives you a raise?

See. Ether taking effect. They do ‘marketing’. It’s just not ‘paid’ marketing. Free or Paid it’s still marketing.

Know and recognize the difference and similarities. You can do this!

I’ve never seen a Tesla Advertisement. I have seen tons of Rolex advertisements.

When consumers praise the value of a particular brand. That is not marketing. I think you are confusing marketing with something else.

It’s in their annual report. And you’ve just not ‘seen’ the ad you associate with an ‘ad’ where you live.

“Historically, we have been able to generate significant media coverage of our company and our vehicles, and we believe we will continue to do so. To date, for vehicle sales, strategic media coverage and word of mouth have been the primary drivers of our sales leads and have helped us achieve sales without traditional advertising and at relatively low marketing costs.”

Dig deeper. They market, especially in Asia with TV commercials and actors, especially in more competitive and subsidized EV markets. Just not as much as a traditional Super Bowl ads or popups. This whole ‘Tesla don’t pay no marketing because they the goat and Elon brain bigger than Jupiter’ is total nonsense. It’s brilliant, sure, but it’s also a cultivated myth.

Good for oversimplification fanboi bias confirmation but Rolex people always trust but also verify.

There was a race car driver or yacht racing skipper in a video (he was 90 years old or so) maybe it was this same man. Wearing a solid gold Rolex king Midas. He said it was a gift from royalty for winning a race. Looked really great.

Stewart also advocate for major safety improvements in a performance where many drivers a season were dying in crashes.

This is a great documentary that features him heavily:

I drove a MB s500 for various years. Also owned a G wagon. I test drive a Tesla model S plaid on a whim. It was instant buy for me. I never saw or heard of any Tesla marketing other than my friends telling me I need to get one.

What I like about Tesla? The same thing I like about Rolex. It’s a tool. Albeit a nice tool. It a tool. Car guys don’t like Tesla because they appropriate human emotions to their cars. The fact that Tesla has no personality but is plain and utterly functional is my reason of ownership. It’s like a Rolex Sub.

100% He is a Man among men!

Went to London with my parent's in 1986 when I was 12.
We went to dinner at our hotel the Gloucester and he was there with a large group. Being a racing fan I could not stop looking towards his table. He had his waiter come and ask me over to his table, when I got there he asked the server to "Bring this young man a chair" introduced himself and I laughed and said I know who you are! He said well you are at an advantage young man, please introduce yourself to us which I knew how to properly do thanks to a proper upbringing. He ordered me a Shirley Temple as his son loved them when he was my age. After I listened to him and his friends tell stories of growing up and racing I returned to my parents table. My Stewart came to our table later in the evening thanking my parents for letting me join them and apologizing for keeping me so long. When my father asked for the bill later we were told Mr. Stewart took care of it. That made a huge impression on me at a young age in how to treat children and people in general.

BTW I still remember to this day he was wearing a TT Rolex Datejust that evening.

I met his son Paul in Switzerland about a year ago and he was wearing a new Daytona.

See, I was about to ask how a man of Chewbacca's vast wealth and class could endorse the pairing of a double cuff shirt with pockets and a button-down collar. Rookie mistake, IMO.

Beautiful story and truest ‘free’ marketing.

True. Except he's on the other end of the Rolex marketing machine - where he's being paid to be part of it, rather than paying for the privilege .

Sir Jackie was a Rolex owner (smart, intelligent, classy) well before being a paid Ambassador.

The oldest living one I believe along with Jack.

Why do you equate doesn’t drive a Tesla to Rolex owners? Or are you just trolling?
