Now, if the Day Date had no diamonds then we may have a good match. (personal preference, of course).

At the end of the day we have heard this many times.... buy what sings to you!

Between those two, I’d vote AP. That Rolex is beautiful though, it will get a lot more attention.

Thank you everyone for their most awaited opinions and expert advice. Yeah I guess my loyalty is with AP as I tried owning many brands but flipped them as I didn’t find the quality and finishing at par with AP. As you spend more time with watches on your wrist you start to appreciate and can differentiate superior quality and finishing traits. So let’s see how this one goes...thank you again all of you

Just came across this thread.

I own a rose gold Day Date with Olive dial but mine doesn't have the diamond bezel as per the OPs first post. Honesty I love love that watch and it gets more wrist time than any of my APs. Its a totally beautiful colour combination. Im not saying its better but I like wearing it a lot.

All of my APs are steel, ceramic, titanium and platinum etc - I don't own a Rose Gold one yet but am seriously thinking about buying a PC. Obviously a different price range, different complication etc but I will always cherish that Day Date. I totally love it and so does everyone that sees me wearing it. It's one of those watches that just clicks.

Maybe late but just to answer the question - I would buy that Day date (but without the diamond bezel) over the 15500OR all day every day.
