Here's to you Mrs. Robinson

Just read the sad news that Anne Bancroft died on monday. I can still remember those stockings in The Graduate.

Adrian, I was "forced" to watch that movie in high school and it instantly became a favorite of mine, along with Citizen Kane. You are right, she was smoking in that movie!!

"The Graduate" brings back fond memories. Saw it in the early part of 1970 when I was still wooing Zemina.

I remember taking her for the movie and got tickets on the very last row in the corner.....and the rest I leave to your over-active imaginations!! LOL!!

Earl, count back 35 years from 58, and you'll see JJ was 23. A little old for the back seat of a theater, but what can you expect from a Kiwi.

Okay, you wankers, had your laughs?

Fact is I was 23 and Zemina a cool 20. In fact, she hadn't even graduated yet, wore mini-skirts (it was the start of the '70s, remember) and I had plenty of hair on my head!! LOL!

Yes, those were the days.....we got married the same year in November.

Cheers - JJ

70's

Sorry to say I didn't have many or any of those theather back seat memories, wasn't even thinking of wooing a girl, I was 17 in 70 and wanted to be 18 and out of school for me it was PARRTY! In 71 I enlisted and started my 22 year career in the Army. NO regrets tho. So Lets PARRTY
