I just realized I forgot to tell you guys that Dad had surgery
Don't worry he's fine now, he had it about 4 months ago. First off I apologize for not telling, because around the time he was frantically doing things on the house we are building while he could in fact the night before he had the surgery he finished installing the central vac. system. I was also really busy at school. Anyway. It all started Thanksgiving weekend when he started to feel really, really bad. To make a long story short they ran a bunch of tests and found that a blood clot went to his spleen. They couldn't find out why so they ran just about every test imaginable and found that he had an Atrial Septal Defect or ASD. An ASD is a congenital heart defect that occurs when the hole that everyone has in their atrial septum at birth never closes. The doctors are still puzzled of why the clot didn't go to his brain and kill him. Well to shorten the story even more, he had the heart surgery like I have said before about 4 months ago. The surgeon that did it specializes in this type of thing and is also a pediatric cardiothoracic srugeon. They did the surgery via a traditional sternotomy (when they split your breastbone a.k.a. sternum to gain acess to the heart). Not only that, but when they started the surgery they also found he had an aortic aneurysm. That is when your aorta which is basically the main blood carrier in your heart is dialated or has a buldge. But he is now back to work and living pretty much normal again. Other than that he has a clean bill of health. Basically he was like a ticking-bomb so somebody was really looking after him. I wanted to be a cardiothoracic surgeon before this, but now that this has happened I really, really, want to be a cardiothoracic surgeon. Also I would reccomend Dr. Theodore Koutlas to anyone. Hopefully you would never have to go through this though.
Thanks, Tyler

Nice to hear from you again Tyler and it's good to hear your dad is now on the way to full recovery with a good future ahead of him. Good luck with your ambition to become a cardiothoracic surgeon.

Wow, Tyler. That's quite a story. Glad it all worked out well in the end for your dad and the family. And best of luck on your ambition. It's a worthy calling.
