5513 Spider Dial thoughts

Hi All,

I purchased this form a reputable seller in the US.

I just wanted to know what are your opinions on the dial. And I do like Spider dials (personal taste) What im curious is the stroke seems a bit fatter under the loupe and wanted to know if it was normal.

Here are some photos and also under UV light. Does not glow immediately after removing the UV light.

Thanks.

More Photos

Anyways here are more photos. As I put the watch back together again.

I plan to use this as my daily wear as I like the looks.

I had it serviced and polished to make my own history with it as I plan to beat the **** out of it

It has a service insert with luminova pip which is artificially faded most likely but I like the looks of it. Although I am looking for a proper insert and currently in chat with some nice forum members

Its a 1985 8.6 Mil serial

I think the dial has flaws of overflowing or bleeding as Orchi mentioned in this post for the transition period of the matte to glossy Dials form that era.

I have compared to many.

From the research I have done mine would be an open 6 with FT aligned STERN dial.

The font used and alignment of the letters seem all correct. only thing was bugging me a bit was the size to be a bit fatter than the examples I compared until I found the thread I copied above stating this flaw of overflowing or bleeding of the dial. I do not know which is the correct term for it. Jus ttrying to learn more.

I don't know much about spider dials, though I will say your case finishing looks AMAZING! Nice watch.
