PVD watches tend to look bad over time especially if they are on a bracelet. If you are going to get a PVD/DLC watch, I highly recommend going with a Panerai. They seem to do a really good job applying the coating and since the vast majority of Panerai come on straps, there is less metal on metal friction which typically rubs off the coating.
