I don't know man, tbh, if these watches really were that fragile there would be a lot more threads such as these. What next, I can't give someone a hard high five while wearing an AP?

Tell that to Bubba who wears his RM during every round. Or Rafa who also wears a RM during every tennis match.

This video from Mercedes AMG shows the GT 63S at the Nurburgring in Germany.

And yet, if you run any Mercedes in a competitive event and something breaks, your warranty is void. From page 19 of the MBUSA warranty booklet:
RACING OR COMPETITIVE EVENTS: This warranty does not cover the
costs of repairing damage or conditions caused by racing or from use
on closed-circuit race tracks, nor does it cover the repair of any defects
that are found as the result of participating in a racing event.

AP does not disclose that your warranty is void while playing golf, and if they did they would have mentioned that before fixing my watch under their warranty.

That's great, I don't care. Point is, don't take marketing materials as a substitute for reading warranty booklet.

Edit: Case in point: Audemars Piguet's warranty does not cover damage due to shocks:
https://www.audemarspiguet.com/en/warranty/
The following are not covered by the product or service warranty: normal wear and tear, anomalies relating to a shock, abnormal use, incorrect handling, work carried out on the watch by someone other than an AP Authorized Repair Center, failure to observe the recommended water-resistant service.

I think the difference is that AP are selling a sports watch (or at least a sporty watch) therefore advertising it being used as such I think should be literally interpreted.

Mercedes are selling a road car. Sure it can also be used as a race car, but then it’s outside of its intended purpose.

By AP fixing the watch under warranty, I interpret that, as AP confirming golfing is covered by the warranty and therefore the watch is capable of handling it.

Just bad luck this one had some manufacturing defects.

What's your point? An ROO weighs over 200 grams while Rafa's watch is 34 grams specifically engineered for tennis. Next lets discuss how a racing car can outrun a Hummer.

You only wear Rolex because another guy’s AP logo fell off after playing golf?

Do you even golf with your Rolex?

G Shock is superior for sports so I use my Rolex as a doorstop because it’s super sturdy and looks good while holding open my door. I only wear my AP ROOs out to dinner and business meetings cause they’re super “fragile” ;)

Precious metal Rolex with the added weight makes better doorstops.

Yikes, thank you for the heads up posting this. I purchased the same model Ghost 2 weeks ago; absolutely beautiful watch. When light hits it different angles it can really pop; a striking watch!
