I put ceramic coating and clear bra on my Daytona--and threw it in the safe so I can make money on it in about 20 years.
ohh had it paint corrected and clay'ed first, silly me. |

Never said I supported doing this, or that I would ever do so to any of my Rolex’s ... was interesting seeing someone do this to a datejust and I feel the same way as most... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Tudor makes ceramic watches already; they don't look to great and I can't imagine that they sell all that well. I'd tend to believe that a full ceramic watch would hold up much better than a ceramic coated one.

Interestingly, when I read Rolex warranty conditions, the specifically said that applying ceramic or other coatings to the watch would void the warranty.

In all seriousness, I have seen some protective films that fit on a Rolex. Basically like a screen protector for your watch. Was thinking of doing it for my clasp alone, but they do not have it available for my Daytona.

The only time I'd feel right wearing a watch with a protective coating would be when sitting on this couch.
