Selling watch to watchfinder quote

I enquired about selling my rolext GMT master ii LN which was discontinued last year to Watchfinder

I enquired in November and they quoted me £6,600

I got a re-quote today and now they're offering between £4850 -£5,050.

Really confused about the massive change in price. They sell this watch for around £9k upwards

Will definitely not be selling with them.

Anyone else had experience selling to watch finder?

Yes, they offered me £5,500 for my 116610LV. The cheapest LV on their website is £14,950. Chronext offered me £9,500 for an instant sale.

Maybe they're trying to deter flippers if they're offer £6.5 for ceramic daytona, that is scandalous.

One respectable dealer offered me 6.800,00$ for 18238, cheapest one on their site was 13.800,00

I was looking to part exchange my GMT 116710LN with watchfinder about a fortnight ago, they offered £7200-£7500 and then increased to £8000 when I said I wasn't interested, still didn't do the deal but found them fair enough

Despite what some re-sellers may say the markup on used watches is huge. Thus what they will buy for and they will sell for is a big difference. How long they will sit with a watch is also factored in. If they have a few in stock, they adjust their buy prices down even though their retail sales price does not change. Big money in the used watch business.

Used to be guys buy and sold to others on the forum. Now you try to sell watch and all anyone can say is to buy from a trusted seller. The trusted seller has more overhead, and is going to buy low and sell for what ever they can get after the watch sits for XXX number of days in inventory. Also watch sales seem to be slow at the moment. China has changed their tax laws on luxury goods, Hong Kong a mess, Global economy slowing. Although I would like to have a green hand LN, Everyone is chasing a BLRO and not an LN or BLNR.

To be honest, I would like to buy from forum member, but I know I'm not in position to sell on forum yet, that was my reson for trying to sell to some dealers

Everyone wants to pay the lowest price. No reason a business would be any different.

Two questions:
What are the requirements to sell a watch on this Site?

Why not sell your watch on eBay?

Thanks

ebay is a bit risky, a lot of scammers and timewasters. Watchfinder are easy to use and trustworthy.
