I wonder if yellow would work with a matching yellow crown insert?

No, no. Just borrowed for a comparison. I am not worthy of such a piece; according to my wife.

Always had the impression the 035/035-1 were much smaller than 011 which I found way too big when I tried it on, maybe they are but still seem huge in your pic next to the Patek...

They do wear 'smaller' than 011. Anything will look smaller next to any RM.

035 has a perfect fit.

RMs are big but their fit is fantastic, and when I tried them the only concern i had with the 011 is the height... consider I tried it after the 055 white ceramic Bubba which wears perfectly... on other side 44 AP ROO looks unwearable and funny on my 6.7 wrist (and that surprised me because I have flat wrists, and know some TRF members here with even 6.5 wrist and 44 ROO looks very good on them...)

That's me 6.5". Ironically the RM fits better on my wrist that any 44mm AP ever did.

The 035 is 'flatter' than 011, but a little wider. Ideal

What doesn't go we'll with me is high watches as well, the AP 44 seemed huge when I tried it being used to wearing a 5712, but when I tried one on being used to an AP diver it seemed fine, I am sure it looked fine on you, I too have 6.9 and very flat, but you don't realize it, depends on what you are wearing most of the time for 90%, if you wear 40mm watches a 44AP will seem huge, logical, goes the other way too, but you get used to it quite quickly, you just need to go with a friend who likes big watches next time you try one on, and don't count on a salesperson's advice of course, they'd sell you their mother...

Yes, I remember your 44 pics, and it looks great... maybe the reason is I tried only steel 44, and white dial color make it look bigger than RG, carbon, and ceramic with black dial...

It looked so out of place that I'm sure I will never get used to it :)...

So, I've gone through all the pages in this thread and I'm now a huge fan of almost every model. Hopefully, I'll be able to get one some day so. 010 rose gold is the one id go for for numerous reasons. I have a question for those who've bought one, did you manage to get any discount from where you bought it from?

010 is not a hot seller, so might want to think through that. BUT, before you do anything, go try on several at an AD or Boutique.

As with ALL RM's do your homework on pricing and where to buy.

VERY different world than other brands. And yes, get a discount

Thanks for your reply reply! What would you recommend as an 'entry level' RM. I love the rose gold and rubber contrast. Just wondering, why is it not being a hot seller a bad thing if I don't tend to flip my watches? From what I've heard it is a very different world. A world I can't wait to step into!!

Nothing wrong with buying any RM, just need to take into account all facets and if you ever did want to sell/upgrade.

Try and find an AD or Boutique and let the fun begin. The models all wear a little different (yet all very comfortable) so key to really focus on the ones that sing to you.

Enjoy the ride

being consistently poisoned by Paul and Roger (great job guys), my immune system to RM finally broke down. I picked up this lovely RM011 2 months ago. attended the F1 event in Shanghai this weekend, surprisingly several people recognized the watch at the race.
