Can the mods make a rule that any member who makes a thread to try and pump a stupid nickname gets banned forever ?

I’m on the fence when it comes to nicknames. I’ve actually been quite critical of them in the past, but when I read a post like this, it makes more inclined to suggest a new nickname.

I personally like Coke Zero.

I agree, most of these names are stoopid!

But......going by the long established practice of, 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em'....

...I'm suggesting: GANDALF

Really sorry Peter, please forgive me, I just couldn't help it.

This whole nickname business is so cringeworthy.

It's like "Hey guys, just so you know, I was the brains behind the nickname of this model"

since it is a very dull looking watch I would call it a flat coke… flat as a non-carbonated…

I would call it “the dream” because this is what the CEO said recently in an interview (I believe in Quote).
Rolex sells dreams….
(In my perception this CEO is right, it is a dream to buy one at the AD, but dreams don’t come true)

Not good enough to deserve one. Although Gandalf did catch my attention I hate nicknames, especially contrived ones forced on society by an outspoken minority

Coke Zero doesn't make sense. Coke Zero is the new Tudor Coke. Giving the Tudor a good nickname could finally hype one of the Tudor models, Tudor lovers should jump on this.

This has been on my wish list for the past few years, perhaps its time to rename the Rolex/Tudor forum to the silly childlike stupid nickname forum.

Ban Rolex site then because they all come up when searching nicknames on the Rolex site. Except the new GRNR as the Rolex enthusiasts here haven't agreed on a Nickname yet. Rolex is following this site by the way.
