I believe it is Stainless Steel, I even checked before I posted that.

Of course it is, it's made to match the case.

I am pretty sure that Stainless Steel DJ's have a WG bezel if the bezel is fluted apposed to smooth and made out of Stainless Steel like the OP's.

Actually, a WG bezel, if you're speaking of a fluted bezel, would make the watch less elegant, but perhaps more desirable in the eyes of some.

This is not to say that a DJ with a fluted bezel can't be elegant in its own way, but the essence of elegance is restrained beauty and simplicity.

The domed bezel regardless of what metal it is made of is the quintessence of elegance in the strictest sense of the word.

Sure, but then it's not "the ultimate in elegance" anymore.

My wife picked out the same model, only in 31mm. She really likes it and never gets sick of it.

Truly a beautiful watch, but is it more elegant, more of a classic than this OP ? Hmm, I'll have to think about that one.

That exact DJ is my wife's daily wearer. It's such a perfect example of Rolex elegance.

Hmmm, I too will have to think about that one, truly an elegant watch.
Not too sure about the arabics though, would prefer all sticks.

My title for the post of 'The Ultimate in Elegance'….is IMVHO…subjective.

Don't agree a smooth bezel like this is 10 times cooler than a fluted one...

I will concede that for elegance, the sticks are more appropriate. Let's call one classic elegance, the other classic simplicity :)
