I would suggest going for something YG or TT. Maybe a Daytona or DJ.

For $20K, or a touch more, you can get a preowned or LNIB GMTc YG.

Add a GMT to your lineup. And seeing how you have a green and black dial....why not add a white. Good luck on your choice.

For 20K why not get 2? I'd look at a DJ II and either a GMT II or Exp II.

Daytona or a GMT IIC. I think you can squeeze in a used GMT IIC Gold (Green dial would be my choice.)

I'd try a vintage sub, or the new 116719 BLRO!
Cheers!

If I was not Sub crazy (meaning I don't want 10 subs in my collection)and I had your watches plus the problem at hand, I'd sell the 16610 first. Then plunge all the money to get a black dial gold Sub
And here's where I invite other enablers to post pictures of their gold black dial sub!

Daytona. If you like TT, go for a TT Daytona. Otherwise, SS Daytona with the dial that you prefer.
My thought is that you want a Rolex that looks really different than a Sub. Go to an AD and try on the Daytona and other Rolexes. You will know what speaks to you. |

Based on the $10K to $20K budget, the watches I would choose are as follows:
1. TT Datejust II with slate dial and green roman numerals. A true beauty. This watch can be worn very well with a suit or just as nice with jeans and a T-shirt. 2. SS Daytona. Something completely different from your Submariner LV. Both the white and black dials are stunning, but I prefer the white. 3. GMT Master II BLNR. This one is less than 10K, but still an awesome looking watch that will differentiate itself from your LV. The above are just my choices. In the end, get the watch that appeals to you the most. |
