Cant believe the difference just changing the insert can make!

I would say that the first one is a better match for the dial, but I'm not so attracted to "mega-fat" it's kinda clumsy looking IMO. The fat font 1675-David has posted appears neater IMO.

Most of the bronze/copper toned ones I've seen, including one I owned, have been on gilt dial GMTs, so the second one doesn't 'belong' to my eye.

I've never heard or observed this before. I have seen the "orange patina" inserts on other 1960s GMTs in the past that did not have gilt dials.
