Yachtmaster II Depreciation
Whats your opinion of the Yacht Master II depreciation? Currently theyre trending at around 13kCAD-14kCAD on Chrono24. Since this is a relatively new model, do you see this watch dropping to 10k? I want the best possible deal as mentioned before in a similar thread. It's also in consideration with the hulk as my first and only Rolex :D
Thanks |

Not realistically, no.
I know you are looking for the best deal, but I think you are being unrealistic in your expectations. |

I need to safe the funding first. I firmly believe spending more than 9999$CAD on a watch is a terrible waste of money. Under it I can justify :)

I don't it would hold its value as much as other Rolex stainless steel variants do. That's a niche product for many but it's an unapologetically a cool watch to own

The used prices have been rather stable on that model for awhile. I wouldn't expect it to go any lower as it isn't a high production/sales piece.

Let me look at the trend line analysis, MACD, stochastics and the RSI indicators and I will get back to you after I read several research reports.

I only make $40,000 per year. My used EXP I cost me $4,250. A few years ago I would of never thought of spending that on a watch. I have recently found myself considering just over $10,000 on a watch. I thought like you never over ten grand. Time will tell.

While it may be technically advanced I find the YMII complication to be totally useless.
I'd go hulk for a one and only |

I wouldn't think so...but really the question you should be asking is which watch fits my lifestyle and day to day activities better.

Then in the long run, what does the price matter as long as it's a good deal in your mind?

$13-14K CAD on Chrono 24? Cheap if it's the real deal. Are these local Toronto deals, or stuff in other countries???? You'll have to factor in insurance and delivery and taxes if it's outside of Canada. Cheapest I was offered was $18K grey market and I wasn't in the mood to argue with Rolex Canada if the watch needed warrantee service. It's 5 years protected now I believe. |

There's a four-year old SS reference for sale on Watchfinder and it's at £10,950, which is just over $18,000 CAD. I think you'll be waiting a long time for these to reduce to the price point that you're prepared to pay. The Sub LVc is the best modern SS Rolex anyway.

It's not sought after, people usually buy this watch after they already have a recent collection. Cool watch just pricey

If you can get one at 13k cdn you should as I've not seen then advertised that low. Of course you have to want the watch. Regardless how cheap you can buy it, if you don't think it'll stick no amount of savings will make you happy, you'll just lose less.

You'll never get an SS YMII for 10k CDN. Buy a preowned LVc and move on.
