52. Always found something better (read more important) to spend money on. My wife finally gave me one as a gift to shut me up. Wouldn't recommend everyone wait so long, but I certainly appreciate it now that I have it.

From my late 20s to my late 30s, I have always wanted a Rolex and able to afford one. But i couldn't justify spending that kind of money on a watch. Finally when I reached 40 I bought my first Rolex (and only Rolex for my lifetime). Or so I thought. Now several years later I have a few Rolexes. Damn. I wish I started much earlier.

Received my first as a gift at the age of 27, though I no longer have it (Sub). So when I purchase this Sky Dweller at the tender young age of 36, that will be the first Rolex I've purchased.

21.... a 16234 DJ.
Realised it wasn't quite my style and flipped it and have had sports models since.

However I'll ever forget that first DJ

I was 34 when I bought the black dial Daytona purely because the dealer had one in the shop while I was there and knew it wasn't easy to get hold of.
I'd owned a few Omegas before that but theres no going back now , Ive got 5 Rolex now and I'll be getting another in a couple of weeks

After owning Omegas since I was 32 last week at the age of 43 I made the jump to Rolex with the purchase of an all original 1970 Grey Dialed DateJust.
