Yes...

It's like Yao Ming trying to sit inside a Volkswagen Beetle.

I guess I exaggerated a bit.

But, I wear a 44MM PAM 005 with a 6.75 inch wrist so...

Thanks guys. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the 36MM Explorer I dial but I think that shipped has passed for me. The 39MM Explorer is fine size wise but I don't like the matte dial and the white gold 3,6,9. If they would have just kept everything the same on the dial and just made it bigger..........

The modern fashion for larger watches has affected people's thinking; 25 yrs ago the OP wouldn`t have even considerd asking the question.

I reckon it looks OK...but I`m not a fan of big watches.

I've heard about this matte black dial on the new Exp1, what a kill joy! That sweet inky black dial of the 114270 is one of its best features. I could stare into it forever. This watch is nearing perfection for me, although my wrists are currently running at 7" since I got into jogging. I'm not taking to oversize watches myself and am seriously considering offloading my PO XL.

If I had 7" wrists I would be picking up the old Explorer. You are right, that dial is near perfection.
