Hi everyone, introducing myself and my little collection !
Good morning gentlemen,
after much reading this fine forum I decided to introduce myself and my collection of watches and Rolexes. First of all, please excuse my somehow poor english; it is for me a second language as I'm writing from Italy. I'm a passionate watch collector since quite some time, and passion for watches has been inherited from my dad. He wasn't a collector himself, but he loved beautiful watches, albeit I'm more into sport/professional watches, while he loved high-end, classical , thin timepieces. I do not collect only Rolexes, but all kind of watches including PMWs, that I use daily, while I keep the beautiful one for evenings, or business situations where I need to be all nice and fresh :-) So....as a pictures is worth a thousand of words I will try to post my first picture where you can see the core of my collection all together...I've got more but as this is a Rolex forum let's concentrate on my favorite brand ! Top row from left to right: 16710 - 16750 - 16622 - 16600 + Omega SpeedMaster 35th anniversary Second row from left to right 16610 LV (dressed for the Brazil World Cup helas...) - 116523 black dial - 1655 Steve Mc Queen - Frederique Constant HeartBeat Moonphase Manufacture - Fortis Cosmonauth B-42 Titanium Limited Ed. with Lemania 5100 I hope to be able to take more pictures and show you soon details of my collection and more watches but for the moment that's all folks , let me know that you think about and what would be the 8th Rolex that you would add to the collection ! |

The BLRO ....was thinking about this one....but...I was also considering the grand son of my 1655....the new Explorer II...albeit a little too large on my wrist...especially the white dial...it looks enormous on me...
By the way...next purchase will be for Christmas or so...as I just got my 1655 a few weeks ago... My secret dream : a Paul Newman...but too many frankensteins around at crazy prices...and for a mint one...the prices on auctions go very very high....I would consider that one an investment...not a watch :-) To get the 1655 I had to search for three years until I found mine, an honest seller who immediately declared to me that the bezel has been changed 12 years ago during a service from Rolex, as it was in horrible conditions...the rest is all from the 70's...been checking it for hours before writing the check eheheh |
