Grey and blue chessboard is nice. Maybe black will pop the blue more.

This is amazing. I love their promise of "eternal service". I am liking the roman numerals with the PR.

We have now entered a point of no return with funds wired yesterday. Still to decide on the Vingt 8 with optical illusion enamel dial or the PR. Additional designs are being worked on now and hopefully will share them when I am back from D.C. Next week. The June 2017 delivery slot booked.

I’ve a lot of time for the Urban Jurgensens, and being absolutely honest, feel you, and Arnaud, have leapt into your purchases, without exploring a number of cheaper and arguably, just as good alternatives.
UJ is one, Land & Heyne is another, Grieb & Benzinger a third, and possibly Moritz Grossmann as a fourth.
Think UJ is very nice. Just seen them at Salon QP. I like the attention to detail. Currently 1 watch a day and a desire to get to a FPJ level of 1000 and no more. I think I will look at this as a serious contender to the PP 5327 and think the FPJ is now in 3rd place.

Moritz Grossmsn I like the Benin but really strange that I just don't find German watches that compelling. ALS and MG just too sterile but let's hope for Lange & Heyne.

Ferrier no idea why the craze. Find them boring.

I if I ever get a Kari it would very much look like this one. And I mentioned it at another thread but I would go without the PR. It takes away from the simplicity and the beauty of the dial. Congrats and looking forward to the incoming.

Not much depth in that monochrome. I'm still with the blue in posts 60 and 62.

As well as the title, very good, but imagine the wait with a RWS, not that would be very long, 1 year is not so long in comparison.

Am sure it will look great whichever you decide to get

Thanks for sharing this. These are beautiful pieces; I'm going to go against the grain and say I like it with the PR. And while the grey looks great, the blue is outstanding!

PJ, all these are very nice, except I don't see one which would have made me a unique watch, with officer case back with unique engraving, which is really what sealed the deal, without the case back not sure I would have gone through with it, from a master watch maker which has good resale in auctions, his watches which are worth 60-65 sell for 50-55 in general, which is good for any brand, sure except a few Rolex or Patek and other similar type brands, and which basically apart from the few things you can't change, case, hands etc, is making me a made to order watch. Also I am not doing it for investment, but I do feel that the way he is going, in 10-20 years, my watch will probably be worth much more than what I paid for it, and this is an important part for me as soon as I put more than 10K into something, not saying that everything I got for more than 10K went for much more later, my cars didn't, as well as a few watches and one flat, but all the rest took value or are sure to take value in some years from now. Also the fact that he always had a maximum of 54 watches per year and wants to stay at that maximum, is very important for me, U Jurgensen which wants to go up to 1000 per year for me is not playing in the same ball game, and the fact that when I saw the vingt-8 with the blue enamel dial it was like that was THE watch for me, and when I showed it to my wife she said the same thing, all that makes that I chose Kari to make me a watch and not someone else, and when I saw his movements in real, I loved the finishing, maybe not Dufour level but probably can stand their ground against any other brand, and the watches, I knew I made the right choice

Thanks Karl, I already saw it before, it is amazing, but I really love blue, so my engraving will be at the case back, with the blue dial, surely the best choice for me

Yep same here, and it's what I chose, I think you should as well Karl, like I said I appreciate the fact that you don't want my "unique piece" to transform into "almost unique piece" but with full arabic numerals on the dial and the special blue-purple outer dial color I am choosing, it will be different enough, and the "unique piece" of mine is mostly in the fact that it will have officer case back with unique engraving, that's what really makes it unique IMHO, in any case the dial design I will have has already been made in different ways, though I haven't seen that one was made with full numerals, and clearly not with that kind of outer dial color.

Hard to say, I love PR and think it looks great, but yes it does detract a little from the original 3 hander, the reason I chose mine was the simple 3 hander with the enamel, so for me no, but if you are hesitating with other designs, then why not

For the colors I find blue great but grey is also very interesting, as with grey the blue enamel is more in value, both are great to be honest, but grey only as he color of the outer dial with the blue enamel, but I am dead sold on that model so for me it will at 99% look better than others as it is really all that I love, so it's clearly my tastes, but seeing your collection of blue dial watches I think our tastes don't differ that much
