Broken! 3 month old Dark side of the moon stopwatch
Hello Folks... Got a 3 month old dark side of the moon and noticed today that when I start the stopwatch the minute and hour counters at 3 o clock are stuck in the 12 position while the stopwatch keeps spinning.
Is this a known issue with this model? I have my PO for 3 plus years now and it is solid... I am surprised I have an issue on this brand new watch! Any suggestions? See pic below... Thx in advance |

Wow that is not good to hear.
I have not heard of this issue before but I am not that well informed. I hope you get it fixed without too much pain. However, it is a really great modern vintage style watch so there is a lot to enjoy about your watch

As much as it is a pain, I think you are going to have to send it in for service. I presume it is under warranty?

I'm sorry to hear about the issues with your new Vintage DSOTM. I have not come across any topics on this particular issue with the 9300 movement before to offer any suggestions. I have heard that there were some very rare and minor issues with early 9300 production models which were quickly corrected by Omega. Since then, problems with this movement have been close to non existent. From personal experience, my Pitch Black is 1 1/2yrs old and runs/looks like I just took it out of the box for the very first time.
Take the watch and warranty card to your OB in Dallas. They may be able to work on it there in their shop. However, due to the ceramic case, it might need to be sent to HQ for the work. I'm certain it will be fixed up, back in your hands, and running like a dream in no time. Best of luck and please keep us updated. |

In my experience, Omega Boutiques generally have very good customer service. I'm sure they'll take care of your watch and have it fixed. I accidentally dropped my Aqua Terra GMT Chronograph a couple of months after I brought it. I took it into a local boutique and they sent it in for service and didn't charge me a dime. Not only was the damage caused by my own negligence, but I didn't even buy the watch at the boutique. I was impressed.
