Power reserve problem with my Daytona 116500LN

Hi all,

So my beloved steel Daytona ref 116500 (2016 model) has developed an issue with the power reserve, when the chronometer is left running the power reserve only lasts for around 2 hours.

I know running the chronometer reduced power time but still it should be atleast 36 hours, not 2 hours!

I have sent my watch to the service centre and Rolex agreed it had a fault and it is now being fixed.

Just wondering if anyone else on here had isssues with their Daytona?

it's my first 'proper' watch and I'm aware how in demand it is, so as you can imagine I was surpised it developed a fault especially so early on in ownership!

Sounds like a mainspring broke. No biggie.

It happens, haven't heard many problems here on it though so you're just a lucky statistic.

I get it, it's a mechanical watch and it can break, but this is disappointing to me.

Too bad, but it'll come back good as new and give you many years of enjoyment.

It would depend on whatever power-reserve had in the mainspring to start with.Watches like the Daytona needs 60 full crown turns clockwise only then after a full manual wind, even if chrono was running should last off wrist way over 60 hours.

Mine runs nicely and runs up to the power reserve with or without the chronograph running. I manually wind the watch before putting on the winder too. I don't run the Chronograph more than 12 Hours that's the maximum number you would see in the dial as well
