Wow Steve , with your new additions your collection is
definitely one to envy... Not that it isn't already ...
Huge Congrats... and on the Bluesy if your adding
that ...

Yes, instead you did the whole Basil Fawlty on Mastermind thing - What's your specialist subject? The bleedin' obvious!

That's a great collection you have, I have a very similar box too, and sounds like you can take a joke so welcome aboard!

its amazing how the daytona and hulk just show up at the AD when you are also buying a full gold watch isn't it?

Evening gentlemen. Thanks for the kind comments today. Made a lovely change from last nights unruly bunch! I feel the love. Price rise 5-10% this Tuesday/Wednesday. Rolex holding back deliveries and AD not taking deposits. Now off to consider my next purchase whilst devouring vinegar soaked fish and chips out of old newspaper - this is how we celebrate Fridays in the land of pits, flat caps and cotton mills. Washed down by our traditional local ale - Coors Light. Cheers.

This thread is one hell of a way to introduce yourself to the forum! Congratulations on your new pickups, and welcome to TRF.

....looks like you're a GMT man (as am I) so you must be a good guy, even if you're from north of Watford!

48 hours, Sir. Next time I shall endeavour to be more accurate. One is disappointed in ones self for such sloppy, inaccurate predicting.

Wempe on New Bond Street (London) had an AK and SS GMT II in the window this evening and sold an LV to my mate yesterday. Strange that they haven't held these back in anticipation of the imminent price increase. I guess we will find out on Tuesday/Wednesday.

But surely the store would get some advanced notice so they can update their systems and price lists?

The general manager might know. The sales director or regional manager will know. Not price rise related but when I worked at Apple everyone knew everything before us.

Exactly my point. You would think the regional manager or sales director would hold those pieces back in the knowledge that they could be sold for a greater premium and margin in a few days time.

The OP will get the BLNR (to be along with his WG and YG GMTs) in a few weeks, which may encourage you to bring your BLNR back!

If they do go up it will be known as the Therese May price rise..... We arrived into the UK the day after the election to a 3c improvement in the A$ vs pound. A lovely holiday bonus for us. By the way converting prices the UK was under global price. My Black Bay Bronze was a bargain and cheaper than France.

Pity you can't but any Daytona's, Subs, GMT's etc in the UK otherwise it would be a fun time to shop!!!!!!!
