How often do you use its functionality to its fullest, if at all ?
And , what do you time ?

What does the rotating bezel do on a yachtmaster?
How many people use there GMT function?
How many non scientist wear a milgauss?
I guess what I'm trying to say is, you can like the style but not use its functions.

I use the chronograph function at least 3 times a day on my Speedmaster. I rarely use the diving bezel on my SD though I admit I turn the bezel most of the time on the Rolex just to feel and hear it. No other manufacturer has it just as perfect.

When I had a chrono (Speedy) I didn't use it too often and honestly what I did use it for was simple stuff like timing a parking meter or a pizza in the oven. For that I actually find the timing bezel of my Sub easier to use. Chrono is great for to-the-second timing but I typically have no need for that.

I discovered the chrono along with a rotating bezel are really useful tools for running. The bezel time my total time while the chrono time my run time vs warming up/cooling down/taking it easy.

Have not used the chrono for a flying mile yet.

My Submariner or Black Bay's diver bezel is very useful for the usual daily stuff like cooking, parking meters, journey times, work-outs, baby’s feeds/sleeps, long phone calls/meetings in work etc.

My Omega Speedmaster Chronograph can occasionally be used in a couple of slightly less-usual ways though:

- As a date indicator (the Moonwatch doesn’t have a date display) – just stop the Chronograph Second hand on the desired marker corresponding to the date. To be honest, I rarely, if ever, need to do that though.

- In conjunction with the Tachymeter scale, it can of course be used to measure speed & distance, but also to quickly predict production rate per hour. It could be used to estimate factory production schedules, for example, but I most recently used it to let me predict how long I’d have to wait for my music library to completely sync over to my new iPhone e.g. pick a single song (with an average MB size), start the chronograph when the download commences, and stop it once completed – if just over 10 seconds have passed and the chrono hand has stopped at 350 on the tachymeter scale, then that’s the average rate of song transfers per hour.

When I had a speedy, I pretty much never used the chrono for anything useful, just to watch the hand spin around every so often. With my sub, I use the bezel quite a bit to time small things in everyday life.

When I was in Hawaii for a week a few months ago, I never took my sub off and we went into the ocean multiple times a day (snorkeling, swimming, ect...). I used the bezel to time how long I was out to make sure I wasn't out for too long at a time (I sunburn if I even think about the sun too long).

I use the chronograph on my Speedy at least 5 times a week when I exercise: running and weight lifiting.

Frankly, I don't need to use the chronograph function for those two activities...cause I wear a polar heart rate monitor and use Runtastic app on my iPhone which record time, heart rate and energy burned... but I just love using the chronograph.

Other things I use it for are to time my flight when I travel by airplane, when preheating my iron cast skillet and frying steak

I don't use any functions of any modern watch these days. I buy because of the look and history more importantly. I could care less the Daytona doesn't have the date , I never dove or use the dive bezel on the subs I owned. I wear a Fitbit Alta hr on my right wrist that covers the date and time when in a dark theater etc. come on does anyone here drop 10k plus for a watch for its functionality these days? And rolexes are not tool watches. If I want a tool watch I'll buy a seiko diver auto or Casio gshock
