It's the most powerful, innovative watch Apple has ever offered. Plus it has features that will enhance your life as only Apple can. We know you'll love it.

That's basically what Apple says about every product release ever. The next version will be even more groundbreaking, giving you applications that will save your life, resurrect dead family members, and of course feed your pet fish. It'll be the most powerful, innovative Apple device they've ever offered.

It'd be an easy stock to short at this point, but the 'investment banking' system and 'institutions' is far too deep to allow Apple pricing to fall by much, plus they're Teflon with their protected highly profitable exclusive app store.

It was an incremental update, although I do wish they could increase battery life a bit. I have the Ultra and it should last me for a while. The biggest change, IMO, is Watch OS10.

There are rumors about a redesign for next year, which would be the 10th anniversary of the Apple Watch. Not sure what they're going to do. Round doesn't really work well for smartwatches as it does for traditional watches. I can't see them straying too far from the current design language.

I have a 7 and I am content to hold.

In March, I had a serious fall in pickleball and I fractured my shoulder. My iWatch said “it appears that you had a serious fall. Do you want to call 911?” Then the watch had a red button that said 911.

Neither my Rolexes nor my Patek can do that.

Wait, Apple Watches can detect a fall and can call 911? Okay, that’s genuinely helpful.

Ouch, that fall sounds nasty. Hope you’re doing well.

I’ve had mine ask me if I fell while mountain biking!

About twenty year ago we had such a joke about what would an a MS Windows operated act in an accident:

"Windows detected an accident.
Do you want to use your airbags? (Y/N)"

Yes, I believe if you don't respond in about one minute, it will call 911 and notify your emergency contacts that the call has been placed. With the Series 8, crash detection was introduced and would call 911 in the event of a crash if you didn't respond in a similar time frame.

That’s smart, I’ll give Apple for that, despite my mild disdain for them. Guess it’s not the first time they have that similar feature.

To be honest, I would like to see an non-smartwatch (analog and digital and ana-digi) to have a button that can call emergency services and emergency contacts.
