For those that have used the Everest bands, is there a difference between the strap that fits the Submariner and the SeaDweller? Or are the interchangeable between the models?

Unfortunately they are not as the distance between springbar and case is really small on the SD

Nice ! Fortunately I WANTED the 116600 because had a gut feeling it was going to get cancelled (complete guess on my part). So no mistake here. More importantly I bought it because I loved everything about it size, dial, no cyclops, glidelock, etc. Will see if it ever goes up in value but I'm not putting it in a safe. I buy watches to wear!! By the time it goes up in value I will have no need for money ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Agreed. Prices have already bumped up a bit. I bought mine brand new in February for around $8k. Now from the sale seller, he wants full retail for them. |

I'm with you there! However, it might be a different story if Rolex made a true 40mm Daytona!

Nicely done! The SD4K is a keeper and one watch I will never part from. In fact I like it so much that I bought 2

Some of reasons why I like my SD4K over my other Rolex watches (GMT Master II and Daytona SS Black dial) are my notes, while a few are reasons I've found on this site over time. Either way I thought I share a decent list as to why the SD4K get my wrist time...all the time.
Sits perfect on my wrist, very comfortable, balanced watch overall. The shape of the lugs as compared to the Sub or GMT, how they taper in is nice and more sleek IMO. Only Rolex model with a date that does not have a cyclops except for the DSSD Deep Sea and that can’t have a cyclops because of the domed crystal on the DSSD. Love the stainless steel brushed look on my wrist, makes the links beefy looking. Good for daily tool watch, dress and travel. Glidelock allows for quick adjustments so as your wrist expands/contracts throughout the day you can fine tune it to be super comfortable. Accuracy is -5 per month with my SD4K. Minute markers around the entire bezel are great and balance it out nice. With the minute markers all the way around, when you look at it quickly it makes the bezel notches stand out nice and gives it a tool watch look that’s very unique. Bezel is solid and clicks with authority and does not move once set. Bezel is great for timing things like when I BBQ. Then blue tone lume is great at night and lasts a very long time, I can read the time at night without my glasses on. Very basic and simple style but iconic at same time. Totally understated and under the radar, not flashy. Was in production for a very short 3 years, so value should rise as more people appreciate this well balanced model. Black satin/mate dial is unique, newer SD4K's have gone to gloss black I believe. The titanium nitrogen release valve makes it’s super cool and where it’s positioned it looks great, not a Sub look because of the valve. Can wear it long in more bracelet mode, does not dig into my wrist. Like one of my heroes Rodger Waters does with his SS Rolex. Super comfortable all day, I wear it 24/7. The inside of the clasp is like butter on my wrist. The SD4K is the last of its kind. A true pro watch. A stand-alone dive watch. It's the bad ass watch of Rolex. |
