Ouch. That hurts. Nonetheless, it's still awesome that you owned one.

I inherited my dad's datejust when I was 23 (he passed away when I was 14, my mom gave it to me the day I graduated college). I'm 38 now (39 on Tuesday) and my fiancé just purchased a 16710 that will be delivered tomorrow (though I'm not supposed to wear it until our wedding day on 12/31).

I ordered my first Rolex last week (214270), and I turned 35 this summer.

After 12 years of marriage, two kids, and one successful start-up business, I felt like I'd more or less earned it. I hope to be a one-watch guy, but this site makes it supremely difficult.

Congrats!

Good luck with the one-watch guy plan!

First at 34 and 11 months (a new subC no date), then a blnr for my 35th birthday then an explorer II polar two weeks later because this is a terrible addiction!

I had that same plan, too.

It failed.

What year was that and how much did it cost? It seems like Rolexes today are more expensive (after adjusting for inflation) than 20 years ago.
