AD messed up the screws of my 116710BLNR

Hi guys,

I bought a brand new batman.
Bracelet was too big for me and I asked them to remove some links.

I later noticed that every screw of the watch had removing damages.

What can I do about it ?

Thank you :)

Well, the obvious answer would be take it back to the AD, show them the damage they caused, and ask them to make it right by replacing the screws. Pretty straightforward....did you have other idea(s)?

I was thinking the same but I feel like every Rolex AD will throw you some stupid arguments to change your mind about it

So if you're not willing to go back to the AD, what do you expect us to do? Mail you some screws?

I never said i was not willing to go back.

The question was more : do you really think they would do something about it ?

They should absolutely make it right for you. Take it back. The sooner the better!

Take it back and complain. Although it would have been better if you noticed it immediately.

A few choices:

Take it back to the AD / demand the screws are replaced.
- If they say OK, make sure they confirm the person fixing the mistake knows what they are doing.

- if they say no or give you a hard time / complain to their management / write to their head office / send photos - if they are a chain.

- Rip them a new one on your local online review site - if you have one.

- Send your watch to a RSC or proper watch maker with a Rolex parts account
- Pay if you have to and consider it a lesson learned...never return to that AD again / learn to do such things yourself

Don't understand how you can buy a watch as expensive as this and not check the work before leaving the store?????

What would you do if you took your car in for service and they scratched the windshield?

Never let a AD touch your watch. All you need is the right screw driver, locktight and a hair dryer. I would demand all the damaged screws be replaced. Hope it works out for u

Go back and fix it. The AD asked me if I want them to adjust time and date, I said no thanks. Geeez, I paid 10k for it and letting someone adjust the time. They did sorta removed links for me and I had to make sure there were no damage and stickers werent removed as well.

I second it ... Get some tools and do it yourself.I have been there with the other guy working on my watch and doing damage.Just because they work there doesn't make them proficient at watch work or bracelet sizing.Good luck hope you get things worked out.

AD messed up my screws on my sub. I will probably stop by RSC and ask them to replace it as it is still under warranty. I have not let an AD adjust since then.

What boggles my mind is how easy it is to remove screws without causing damage. I find it is very easy to do in your own.

Damage to the screws by AD does occur. Some notice it more than others. I would get the AD to replace the screw and the link as the screws polished with the link.

Have the AD order new screws and resize it yourself.

I think it would be worth your time to speak to the AD and see how they intend to make things right.

From my experience, my AD does not have extra screw. I went to RSC to ask them to replace for me. For my recent purchase (BLRO), I went straight to RSC to do the resize to avoid the same problem.

Good luck. I moved a link on my brand new at the time 116619 and was nervous as can be. I figured if I screw it up at least I did it to myself and not the AD. Fortunately all went well.
