Icon20 New 114060 accuracy

Hi everyone,

I've had my new Sub for a couple of months now and thought I would do a accuracy test. I've worn the watch continually for 30 days (took it off when sleeping) and it appears to have lost 30 seconds, i.e. 1 second per day.

That seems pretty good to me, but I'd appreciate any thoughts from more experienced Rolex owners.

Cheers!!

Excellent indeed.

Honestly I've never really paid close attention as I tend to rotate very 3-4 days.

That seems pretty good to you, well for any mechanical watch to perform within a few seconds a day considering there are 86400 in day is itself a mechanical marvel. So first dont get to anal about constant checking for time, your watch is well within the Swiss chronometer spec.

You're even within the new Rolex standard of +2/-2 seconds per day, better than COSC standards. Very good performance.

-1 is great! Anything within the +/-2 is really really good performance that I'd be very happy with.

My 114060 is exactly 30 days old today and has been worn every day and placed dial up at night. It's -10 over this period so -.33/day. Certainly happy with that!

God gave you a Rolex Sub with an accuracy rate of 99.9988425% every 86 400 seconds.

The OP is in the "outstanding" category with few movements at any price will beat. When your getting real world results like that, your in the quartz watch category with a automatic.

That is brilliant accuracy. I had problems with accuracy but was told by someone on the forum that it depends on which position you put your Watch in when your not wearing it & it certainly worked for me

That's excellent. Try face down when not wearing to potentially pick-up some time.

Don't get too hung up on expecting absolute accuracy.....it will only lessen your overall enjoyment of your Sub. It really is a superb watch!

Would not lose sleep. That's about what my 14060M COSC non-date from the mid 2000's keeps.

Excellent indeed! When you take the watch off at night, how do you sit the watch? If you are resting the watch on its side, try dial up and it will probably run a tad faster.

That is good. All of my watches run fast, so I know that it's something that I do (wrong) when I set it down at night, but haven't yet found the magic position.

my dssd is the most accurate rolex i have ever owned 23 seconds fast in 35 days.
i wear it 4-5 days a week and goes into a watch winder at night.
never wind it either.

Per above, try dial down for a week, this generally is the fastest resting position per Rolex standard set-up.
