Not Incoming, already here.....BLNR content

Got a BLNR on Friday. I've always liked this reference but hadn't pulled the trigger. I was planning on a black Daytona C as my next acquisition perhaps followed by the BLNR or maybe a new sky dweller. I've been waiting since November for "the call" on the Daytona C.
While I was in Europe a few weeks ago I tried on a white SS Daytona C. It was not for sale having already been sold or being held for a VIP but I was allowed to try it on. It was actually the first time I had tried on a Daytona of any configuration. To my surprise and shock It didn't scream or sing to me. I also tried a WG and TT to get a sense for the fit and comfort. I'm still on the list for a black SS Daytona C and I may or may not actually get it if the call ever comes so I decided there was no sense in waiting to acquire the BLNR. Loving it.
Sorry for the poor pic.

Good score. I had watches I thought I would love and then did nothing for me on my wrist. Got to try them on before purchase.

Say what you will about the Daytona, but the BLNR just gets so many things right. Daytona is cool but the lack of date and smaller wearing size is off putting. But that's what makes this hobby fun..variety !!

Beautiful watch. Congrats!

Different watches sing to different people. Popularity of a watch on a forum doesn't need to match your likings. I bought a white 116520 for my wife and she loves it, and I love it on her. From time to time as I am admiring it, she says 'why don't you resize the bracelet and wear it for a while?' She thinks I like it for myself. I tell her it doesn't do much for me, but for her I find it amazing looking.

Congrats. One of the best SS Rolex references currently available.

Nice choice. I've also given up on the Daytona and picked up (received) my BLNR two weeks ago.
