Incoming SkyDweller...what a watch

Got the call out of the blue last Friday and picked up 2 days ago. I’m now the proud owner of a black dial SkyDweller and a very, very happy camper...what a great way to start 2020.

It’s certainly a neat movement the way you use a combination of the crown with one of three positions of the bezel to change the settings. Here’s a couple of pics.

...and here’s a pic with my other recent acquisition, the Tudor P01 which I also love.

Cheers, Peter

Congratulations. Great watch.

I got mine in December and haven't worn another watch since. It goes so well with me.

My only issue is with the date window. because it is set deep, it is not as easy to read at all angles and in all lights as my Sub Dates and Polar. I didn't anticipate this. But it makes no difference. It's an amazing watch. So clever yet simple. So classically styled yet ultra modern (by Rolex standards).

Congratulations on a fantastic watch also well done as I hear Australia is hard to acquire a lot of steel watches.

It sure is hard in Australia. The SR said they’re lucky to see 2-3 of these a year. I’d believe it too because they had a bit of difficulty setting the watch for me. It was pretty obvious they don’t get their hands on many

Congrats! The main SR watch guy at my AD wears the blue face and it's very stunning in person. Enjoy it!

Thanks all, it’s been an 18 month wait which is why the call was completely unexpected. It’s exciting to see the AD name pop up on an incoming call and the first words you hear are “we’ve a Black dial SkyDweller here with your name on it, interested?”
Is the Pope Catholic, of course I’m interested
Anyway, I consider myself lucky to have been able to build a good relationship with this well respected AD in Sydney. I think they’re genuinely happy to see a watch like this go to someone who they know will wear it.
I love the fact that these pieces are hard to get, it makes it that much more enjoyable when you land one. It just wouldn’t be the same if you could walk into a AD and buy whichever watch you wanted.
Rolex know exactly what they’re doing.
Thanks again for the kind comments.
Cheers, Peter
