It depends on your definition of bother; you're either the type of person who gets annoyed with a ding, or the person who only sees the ding every time they look at the watch. I wear my watches, and I take that deep breath with each ding/imperfection that comes with their usage

“Dings” where there’s a noticeable depression or gouge in the metal do bother me

This is what I feel. I'd be a bit upset at myself but then I'd just accept it.
I have a few dings on my Deepsea and just accept them because if I wanted to keep it new I'd have to not wear it. The only thing that bugs me is that I have no idea where they came from.

Yes, it would bother me. But short of replacing/repairing the bezel, there is nothing you can do. My kids put a few good dings on my BLNR when I had it but it didn’t take long until I barely noticed them.

Ask yourself, are you going to repair/fix every ding/swirl/scratch or rather wait 10 years and fix it during routine maintenance? It will be corrected at some point, so my advice, do not worry about it. Another option, is lock it in the safe and loose the enjoyment of ownership. Is your spouse going to leave you or think lesser about you if you accidentally cut yourself and end up with a scar? I assume not.

Yeah I'll be honest it would bother me at first, but not enough to get it fixed and I would probably be ok with it in the end.

What ding watches are meant to be worn and when wearing all watches will get scratches dings thats a fact, get over that fact or leave your watch in its box.All scratches dings easily rectified at normal routine service,when watch will be returned as good as new, only to get more ding and scratches again.

Not enough to do anything. Irritate is more accurate. In fact some backstory is required here. If I'd paid over the odds for a new Pepsi I'd be annoyed that it was already into well used scratch and dent territory.

Dings and scratches don't bother me personally in the slightest. Try and forget about it! Rolex built your watch to be worn, and you'll inevitably collect more scratches/dings as you go along...you should see my old Sub!

Its completely ruined. Resale value has dropped to 2k but I'm a nice guy and will take it off your hands for 2.1k

anything you use will get wear, does it bother me at times...sure...but I try to not let it bother just enjoying owning and using it, because if it causes more grief you have to ask is it really worth owning if you can't enjoy it.

And then there is the question of what to do...if you get it fixed there is a real possibility that they will damage something else, or if not you could bump it again and cause a new dent.

My favorite watches are those which have enough scratches, dents, and 'dings" that if they get a new one I don't care, and I can put it on and just wear it.

I dinged my LN just below the crown on the casing...bothered me for about a week and now I just look past it. Dings hurt but it happens. Wear the hell out of it!
