I own lots of LV things. However I can tell you this, their quality is nowhere near as high as they would have you think.
Their shoes are not even close to the quality of Ferragamo Their luggage is not even close to the practicality and quality of Tumi.

The people that do enjoy the LV style don't think twice about the price and aren't saving for one like many here do for their first and only Rolex. It's just a brand in their lifestyle, much like someone would go buy a $20 shirt, full well knowing it's not the best quality but it meets their needs.

I just bought a pair of their high tops and a shirt.. Sure it was expensive, but I wanted it so, I bought it. Don't see the fuss about it, if its not your style, move on to whatever is your thing.

Agreed. LV highly desirable but for lack of a better watch comparison, I place it with Omega, Breitling, etc. - quality is good but nothing special. Rolex vs Hermès is a much better comparison. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yes LV is a bit show boaty and quality wise is a bit lacking (I have had a few wallets go wrong on me) but that still doesn't stop me buying their products because at the end of the day it's nice to have nice things from an historic brand. It's high end luxury and there is a market that caters for it. Otherwise why are we working so hard to afford things when we can go down to the high street and buy a bag and watch for £10 in the local outlet. |

I've been using a LV wallet for 15 years until last year when I switched to a cad$50 genuine leather wallet supporting local business. Impeccable quality. Can't see myself going back to LV or any branded luxury wallet. But my wife still loves her LV though. |

Should really buy a watch under the LVMH brand if one wants the full matching set...

LV goods just don't appeal to me. I can't put my finger on why exactly that is the case, but I just know that it is... |

LV Is a super successful brand. Much like Rolex.
I'd say at least in my viability they are aspirational brands. The people buying are trying to buy into the lifestyle. Or appear to be. Which is fine. At least in the UK. |
