I'm a softy for blue. Way back in '84 my first Rolex was a 36mm Datejust, stainless steel with fluted bezel and blue dial. Two years later I traded it for a two tone also with blue dial. Both are long gone but if I ever buy another DJ I know what color it will be.

Blue for me. In the metal, for some reason the rhodium didn’t do it for me....

Hello guys...

Thank you to everyone for the help and suggestions and pictures etc.

https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?p=9185008

There's my incoming...

In the end.... I just thought the Rhodium was too plain looking... beautiful. Elegant. But plain. The blue has that elegance... but is a bit more bright... cheery.. colourful and in the end that's what I went for.

Very very happy with it. Couldn't stop looking at it as I was driving... (not the greatest idea!)

But I certainly made the right choice for me, no regrets!

@Watchwatcher... I must confess that Submariner is lovely... I'm not the greatest Submariner fan. They're too common (buys a datejust? lol) in my line of work...

I had written off the two tone yellow gold blue submariner. I didn't like it in pictures.

I saw it in real life today and I loved it. It will be my next watch as it is achievable and obtainable. (my dealer said he could sell me this one now... and in the future ~2 weeks) It's a different blue dial and its a different piece all together. Truly lovely, you enjoy your watch! :)

I will enjoy my new one.

But I am torn between Blue and Rhodium. I will be getting it with a fluted bezel and jubilee.

I really loved the blue in pictures... but in real life it seems paler... almost a muted blue than the deep blue that the pictures show it as.

Anyone else find that?

Either-way I saw the Rhodium and thought it looked very nice in the flesh.... but here I am at home, pondering what to do and the blue keeps haunting me! haha

I don't think you can go wrong really... but has anyone else felt a bit underwhelmed by the blue in real life?

Thank you all :)
Blue all the way

Rhodium is the next choice for me

I bought my Rhodium last week. Didn't want the blue as I already have a BLNR as my sportier choice.....which obviously has some blue on it.
Beautiful pic

Rhodium, no question. I had the blue and flipped it after a few days.
