WOW, I never new the Daytona was only 40mm, with those three sub dials I assumed it would be a bigger watch.
How big is the Omega Man on the moon watch? |

The speedy pro moon watch is 42mm. It wears small for 42 though as i think a sky dweller at 42mm wears larger

I don’t wear mine very often, but here it is today.
For the forum - too big, too small, or just right? I’ll share my vitals later... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think the size is great but can appreciate why not everyone would. Looks fine to me. Black dial is better though. |

But I remember when I went to try on a Sea Dweller I also tried on a Deep Sea, and I remember thinking to myself in the shop that the Sea Dweller appeared small, but that was because it was up against a bigger watch I now have the Sea Dweller and it's not small at all it feels a perfect size. Watching a film last night with Cameron Diaz, and she's wearing a Sub, but because she has a thin bulid the Sub looks BIG on her wrist. Because watches are small and we are so used to looking at these pictures on the net and seeing them magnified it throws our psychology of track a little. |

Last time when I was at the local AD, the owner let me try his platinum Daytona. It didn't wear small on my 7,5 inch flat wrist. As it is executed in PM it was much heavier in comparison with my 116610lv.
As I am after a 116500, I believe the stainless steel/ceramic bezel Daytona will wear similarly to the 39mm Explorer. Can someone who has (or already compared) both watches confirm this? Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk |

Personally I feel ss Daytona wears small... but the biggest drawback for me is the difficulty reading the time instantly. With my Pam or Omega, I can see the time clearly, right away. Daytona is beautiful... but more of a jewelry than a watch imho. Perhaps that’s why so many ladies prefer Daytona. Flame suit on. Lol

Daytona might be small for some, but it is the perfect size for me. I have been wearing all sorts of Daytonas for over 12 years, and I will never stop.

I’ve had two chances to purchase Daytona’s and passed for that exact reason.

but completely agree. Only have 6.75 wrists and wearing my wg Daytona felt ... dainty to be honest. Felt like wearing a 36mm I have which I never wear. I’m sure 95% of the people that say the Daytona is perfect Watch would opt for 40-41mm size if Rolex offered that as an option. Beautiful watch but wears small and much smaller than advertised... just a fact. |
