I have worn both and prefer the new model. Daily wearer of a 16613LB for 10+ years. Pretty much a 4 and 5 digit guy. Did not have much love for the 6 digits watches because of the "supercase" but now really like the newer model and have 2 six digit Subs. The maxi dial/hands and the glide lock make the 6 digit hard to beat. In the end, I got comfortable with the larger case/lugs.

Totally subjective, and both are nice. I personally can't stand the hollow centre links anymore and much rather the look and longevity of a ceramic bezel vs. the aluminum insert. In your shoes I would actually do the trade for the updated version.

Got rid of mine. Wanted no association whatsoever with the word “bluesy”. It’s embarrassing.

LOL. Not a fan of that term either and rarely use it. LB works fine.

I’m probably in the minority, but I prefer the five digit.

I’ve had a few 5 digit LB’s and a few of the 6 digit LB’s. Prefer the 6 digit model.

Upgrade as there are many things making it worthy upgrading. Bezel, clasp and bracelet overall feel and robustness of the newer version.

You sold it because some call it a bluesy?

I love the matching anodised blue of the five digit.
The dial and bezel never look right, colour-wise, to me on the six digit, although I prefer the better bracelet.
My next watch will be a 16613.

Glidelock alone is worth the upgrade

I agree. I’m a big fan of the ceramic version, especially the bracelet.

How is this heckling?

Back to the OP.

I've owned both. I preferred the ceramic. I even had the flat or smurf blue one. Alas it is gone.

Piping up while someone is talking to a large audience and giving a negative opinion. That’s the definition of heckling.👍

I would upgrade to the ceramic with sunburst blue.

One of the nicest watches ever made by Rolex.

I agree, depending when the five digit was made.

I made the upgrade and haven’t looked back. The 6-digit reference is much nicer IMO.

If the 16613 is a non gold through the clasp, that's a no brainer. Def move to 6 digit.

It it's gold through the clasp, then it's a harder decision. But I would still give the nod to the ceramic version for the bracelet and glide lock.

Does anyone know the weight difference between the two? I tried on my brother in laws 16613 with black bezel and champagne Serti dial, which looks wise I absolutely love, but it honestly felt too light and dare I say the bracelet felt flimsy.
