Owning both 6 digit Sub Date and Sub No Date

Anyone here own or owned both SubDate and SubNoDate concurrently. I currently owned a 6 digit subdate and 5 digit subdate but was looking to flip the 5 digit for a DJ41, but decided that’s a no go as I love sport watch too much, specifically the submariner. So maybe a flip for the 6 digit Sub No Date would be a better option. I’ve never owned the sub no date version as I find the date very useful for day to day work life, but could see the no date version being ok for weekends and vacations watch as I won’t be needing the date function as much.

My question is, did you get tired of having similar watch at one point and wished you had purchase another sport watch instead, maybe a regular black GMT(116710).

I love the six digit sport Rolexes. I don’t have a five digit submariner. What I do have is the 116610LN and the 116710LN. And I think they compliment each other just fine. One with PCLs and the other with a brushed oyster bracelet. One with a cleaner bezel, and one with a 24hr bezel, some may say the GMT has a busy bezel, but with failing eyes, I think that the bigger font is easier to read. At the end of the day, buy what you love...

I've had the 16610 and 114060 stay together for about 4 months then flipped the 5digit sub for a 116710LN and shortly after traded in the 114060 for a 116610LN.

Didnt regret my decision especially going from 5 to 6 digit but some would say I should've kept the 114060.

If you care about value retention keep the Subs. DJs depreciate like crazy if bought new. If used and deeply discounted then it might be an OK deal.

I currently have a 5 digit sub date and ND, also have the 6 digit ND. In my mind it makes complete sense to have these watches because I like them. This hobby isn’t always 100% logical.

I own both 16600 and 16610. My wife thinks I'm crazy because she doesn't see any difference haha. But I have no intention to get rid of either.

Thanks. The only thing stopping me from going for the GMT is the dealer I’m working with has a Sub ND in excellent condition box and papers(dated 2018), which will have the Rolex 5 yrs warranty while the gmt will only have the dealer one year warranty. Price for both watches are about the same.

I have both. I put the 114060 ND on an Oysterflex. That's an awesome tandem. Do it.
