I’ve read your posts and have had a similar experience when my Dad’s watches were discovered in a dresser drawer dating back to the 1930’s.

The first thing to discover is what the family members want to do - your brother-in-law and wife. It seems he liked the Pepsi the most. Perhaps your BIL recalls seeing it on his wrist?

So my point is this: each watch may go its own way and that recipient may wish for different treatment. The Pepsi May get a full overhaul and new parts if the BIL ends up with it. The others may be in your hands and you’ll decide.

For example, in my case my sister wanted my Dad’s pocket watch working but also wanted 100% originality. My brother wanted the Omega Seamaster but also wanted it to look as new. Each demanded different work to achieve the goal.

That’s my best 2¢, except to add that you have a labor of love ahead and are the keeper of the sentimental value for the family who know the man who bought these great timepieces.

I tend to agree with this. I would hold off for now, depending on who the recipient is they may want different things.
No harm in doing the research and offering advice when the time comes, but you never know what his Will states. You could be sending them off for a service for someone that doesnt want a service.

The recipient will be either my wife or her brother and he will end up giving them to her anyway as he knows my feelings for them and that I would do what is right for the watches and will keep them in the family and not sell em off

We found lots of paperwork for some of these. Possibly a full set for the 16800 and 16760. Nothing for the 16750 yet. However we also found papers for a Datejust based on model number and "Datejust" manual in the package so now we wonder where that might have gone! We also found a manual that simply states "oyster perpetual" ... Not GMT Master, Submariner, etc. What could that have come from?

The markers on the Sub dial have patina’d beautifully. Really great collection he has there.

As I'm still trying to learn about all this ... Is this really how the clasp on the 16800 should be?

It doesn't hang like that when you put it on your wrist, unless you wear it very, very loose. Or, your extension blade has a huge bend in it.

The little square tabs can be pushed in to hold the last link tighter, but it will make a mark on the sides.

Ok so here goes the documentation.

For the Sub:

The Coke - now when this was located it was together but should the manual be for a Master II instead?:

The SpeedMaster (Still no box on this one so would it be considered "papers only"?):

The Pepsi - as of now is box only and maybe that Master manual if it truly doesn't belong to the Coke

Then we have this which leads me to believe there might be another watch in the house ... If not 2 ... What is that Oyster manual to?

Haven't found it but haven't really gotten into the majority of the stuff around the house. Have been more focused on getting him home and setup with the in home caregiver's. About the only thing happening with them is a visit w an appraiser today so we can get stuff onto insurance

Rolliworks is a great suggestion.
