14270 questions
Hey guys, in the market for a 14270 with a titrium dual. I found a model I like but it looks like it has been serviced and now has lumed hands.
Thoughts on not original parts? Does this tank the value or is it seen as okay? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

For some of the very vocal, nothing you can do is seen as OK.
However, for a modern reference there is nothing short of outright damage that is going to "tank the value". It's up to you if you want functional lumed hands or not.

Sometimes the old hands just cannot be saved.

Keep looking. Not difficult to fine 14270 all original. Purity and originality are also good in my view.

Thanks guys!
What are your thoughts in the 14270 vs a 114270 Are original titrium dial and hands worth not having the updates movement and solid endlinks? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I love my 114270. But it depends on the look u want. The 114270 will never look vintage like the tritium. It will always look like a modern reference. Which I like. I like the solid end links too.

I wouldn’t buy it. The beauty of the 14270 is the vintage vibe. Otherwise buy a 114270 with improved bracelet and lume

I used to have the 14270 and I sold it because it felt so light and jangly on my wrist. Thinking about getting the 114270 because I like the more solid feel that comes with SEL. Also, I actually wear the watch at night and if the lume no longer functions, then... I'd rather have a functioning lume than a yellowed lume.
