Less than 10 years ago...

And oddly it was my most recent also, albeit in its LV guise

DJ36, 16220, silver sunburst dial. Still have it, still my favorite. Wife gave it to me on our 1st anniversary/my 30th birthday 28 years ago.

5513, preowned, still own it. had to service as soon as I got it and it was really cheap purchase as it was originated in 1966 :-)

Finding the pricing from the trusted sellers high, I bought my first through an ebay seller. Actually because of deceit or optimism on their part I bought a couple but had to return one. The one I finally kept was an black with orange print 36mm OP with most of the stickers still on the watch and about 9 month completed on the warranty. I liked it because it was a modern reference with the engraved rehaut and had the Harley thing going for it. After being here a while I felt it wasn't much of a statement Rolex and ended up trading it in on a SubC. I bought another 36mm OP to replace it before too long.

I am waiting on a decision on a case which is due December 10. If I win, I am still torn between a DJII and DJ 41 and can't decide on silver or rhodium dial. Hopefully I will find somewhere to see the options in person to decide.

Submariner 5512 - a send-off from my folks when I joined the Navy in 1966. My mom was employed by an AD. She bought the watch new for $195.00, minus her 20% employee discount. I still have the sales slip, and the 5512, too.
