Two-tone diamond dial datejust 36mm- Fair buy or not?
Hello everyone. I am new to the forum after finding it in an online search for authentic pre-owned watches. I just finished college and decided to get a nice watch as a reward. I found one that I really like, but after researching this forum and other places, some things are not adding up.
The bracelet has "310" engraved on the inside, but according to my research here, there should be a letter followed by two numbers such as "V56". Also, I cannot find reference to the serial number "7535". I've read that it is probably vintage. I'm guessing the diamonds on the bezel are all aftermarket, and I'm okay with that as long as everything else is authentic. I love the watch. I love the dial and the diamonds and the oyster band. I originally preferred jubilee, but I think oyster just looks great on this particular watch. To get to the point, the questions are as follows.. Is this watch authentic? Is the price fair? Is there any way to tell how old it is? Are all the parts add-ons, therefore devaluing the piece? Also, I wanted to have the back casing engraved with my graduation date and 3 initials. Would that damage the movement? If its determined authentic, I'd like to keep it forever, but I'd like to know these things first if anyone can please help out. Thanks in advance. The case and the movement should be authentic, everything else is add-on.
The diamonds can add to value or detract, depending on the buyer. If you like the watch, and plan to keep for a while, its a fair price. |

Looks to me like the clasp code is J10 which would date the clasp at 1985.
The serial number is found between the lugs of the watch, and you have to remove the bracelet to get access to the serial number. If the watch is from 1985 it should be something like 8614XXX I see the watch is now sold. Did you purchase it? |
