Help with my watch
Hi, I have this watch that has been with my family a lot of years. I knew that the bracelet wasn’t the original so i decided to get a leather one. I saw that it says registered design 16014, the problem is that the watch doesn’t have quickset and it has a “pie pan” dial, which doesn't match with the model 16014 (i read this in different websites). A watcher saw it and says that it genuine, but I have that doubt. I hope you can help me.

Are you sure it does not have quickset?
Even fakes have it. Pictures tell me nothing A

Your watch has likely been overhauled, parts were likely replaced, and might not be functioning properly.
A 16014 should have the fluted gold bezel, the this one looks like the machined bezel.

At a quick glance, and without the details it looks like it ought to be a 1603. As has been said it's possible that parts have been swapped, although if it has no quickset (my 1601 doesn't) could it be that most of its workings are in-fact from the earlier reference or the reference itself is wrong?

These old Datejust's always seem to have mismatched parts.
