GMT Bezel real / fake ? Please help !

Hey everyone, so the story is that I bought an Explorer II from a private seller who included a GMT bezel in the sale.

Trying to figure out its authenticity ...

It came with all 3 pieces

Thanks !!!

Looks fine from here (early fat-font serif insert).

The first pic just appears out of focus and "blooming" a bit.

There are aftermarket ones with serifs and curved base 22’s doing the rounds:

Thanks for the replies everyone, much appreciated.

The original buyer did mention he bought it online from a Rolex dealer in Texas, but was unsure of the details as it was 4+ years ago. He had it on for those 4 years and took it off recently as it was sold to me.

I didn't realize there were different fonts previously. Here are a couple more pictures close up :

I found this photo of an original earlier fat-font sarif ones that a member was selling previously on the forum. I'm still undecided, they honestly look extremely similar, same looking curves at the end of the digits and thickness

It isn't really the font that I find problematic. It's the placement of the digits within the bezel. Some numbers look misaligned in your photos. Some are closer to the edge of the bezel than others. Look at the 2 compared to the 2 on what you've identified as the genuine bezel on your comparison photo. The front of your 2 appears to touch the edge, whereas the back of the 2 is off the edge. On the comparison, the other bezel has an even 2 which is evenly spaced away from the edge with a black line between the 2 and the edge. The circles on yours all look closer to the edge than the other one. It could be because of some kind of extreme wear, but it doesn't look right to me. It's little things like that that seem off. Now granted, it has been on an Explorer II, a watch it doesn't belong on, so maybe it's all due to putting a square peg in a round hole. Really hard to know.

Thanks for the responses,

It does look worn on the inner edge, so you may be right, the numbers are close to the edge than the other bezel. Seller was quite certain it was legitimate and was trustworthy. Just wanted to double check.

I doubt he would know.
No AD or approved repairer is allowed to sell ROLEX spares.
So in theory this can not be true

Hmmm, looks like a photographic anomaly to me. Look at the last pic in the OP (load/zoom full-res version). You can clearly see the correct spacing of the 2 from the inner edge in that pic.
