That's an interesting point Peter. Patek or Tudor enthusiasts are an example.

Directioneng, you can change your name after others ridiculed your (nonsense) posting, but we all know it’s your same corny self trolling me.

It’s almost desperate how you’re crushing on me, pretty juvenile for somebody your age

Think I’ll wear my “Kermit” or possibly my “Deep Blue”, wait, maybe my “Bluesy” down to Starbucks and pick up my favorite triple Venti Cappuccino today!

Maybe it is appropriate, getting a nickname from a company that has also done a hell of a job with its branding

That said, nicknames don't bother me, they're just a way to get across which model is being referenced. Think it's something that just has to be accepted or at least tolerated, they aren't going anywhere

Lots of holier than thou attitude about names on these replies. Like labeling someone a true enthusiast only if they reference model #s and such. I do agree that trying to name everything Rolex comes out with as something unique, but have to say it is a hell of a lot easier to just put labels for each model (regardless of model year) into established baskets (Hulk, Batman, Pepsi, etc). All the Cermit, Batgirl, etc Nonsense needs to stop, though .

126610lv, or green sub, or sub, or even cermit if needs must - you DON’T call it a Rollie. That word should be banned!

I call it Marvin. Even if it isn’t from Mars.

Thank you Padi.

It's called Submariner 126610LV and that is how I refer to it

Sounds like an average day on the forum :)
