Is the Harrods Worth 4.2k?

Hi All, new comer to the forum due to my first Rolex purchase yesterday! A 2018 Milguass Z-Blue (Pictures to follow). Other than the Milguass I was looking at a Tudor Black Bay Harrods. With the waiting list at almost £3000 people I think when I rung the other week, what do you guys think will happen with manufacturing and distributing the remaining watches? And is it really worth paying £1600 over the RRP? Would love to see a Harrods in person to confirm my love for it but it seems like they are few and far between.

They are readily available on eBay for 3.5k or less. Many have sold at that point. I wouldn’t be paying 4 or 4.2 as the production on these has ramped up in recent months (to approx 1500 now) and the secondary market has dipped accordingly.

Nice watch for around 3.5k if you can’t get one new however.

Why not wait the six months and get it for retail?

As I understand it (I’m on the list), it’s nearer a year is it not? Also there is some speculation that they will stop at some point, although why they would do that when they have guaranteed sales lined up is debatable.

Luckily I prefer other Blackbays, it's not as good looking as other BB models. Do you really like the watch, I mean really like it. Then it might be worth it. But if you're just buying it because it's low production and speculation then that is another story, good luck.

Lots of these are going straight on to eBay when collected.
These buyers do not want the watch, and need to shift at the best profit.
Consequently, prices continue to fall back towards MRSP.
Lowest selling prices seem to be under £3,400, but offer accepted is not visible.

There are 16 available right now. I would set a target buy of £3000 (or less!) and make offers to those inviting offers.

So pay a small premium, get it now and enjoy it

I have just picked mine up this week. I went on the waiting list back in February.

Again no decision on when they will stop producing but I'm of the opinion also why would they stop with such interest. Buy the watch for its looks and not for the limited numbers.

It is a beautiful watch and I know on the secondry market a friend of mine has had the option to buy one or two for max £3000 so if you are desperate then I really wouldnt be looking to pay more than this.

The AD told me deliveries have ramped up and now recieving 70 watches a month.

If you do get one you won't be dissapointed

Beautiful watch and worth paying a little over retail for. Just find a private seller (there are
No shortage of them and pick them off for £3k or so)

Seems like a good plan. Remember when they were asking 7K for this for the first adopters.

I must have missed that! In which case mine may be here sooner than I think. Whether I actually buy it or not is debatable as I generally find the BB line a little thick, but having got rid of a Kermit earlier in the year it may fill that hole as an occasional wearer. Let’s see....

Be patient and you should be able to get them under list unworn in the new year if production keeps up.
