RSC left me a nice gift on my caseback

Unfortunately my Tudor Harrods arrived back with a nasty scratch on the caseback.

I had sent it in because of a foreign object underneath the crystal.

I’m not very happy, I did not accept the watch and left it at my AD. They were extremely apologetic and said it would get fixed.

I also called RSC in TO and spoke with the manager Danielle. She said as soon as it’s in her hands she will be in touch with me.

To say I’m crushed is an understatement. I love this watch.

If the scratch was on the case sides, lugs, bracelet I wouldn’t care so much because those areas are going to be scratched from wearing it. But right on the engraving etc, that hurts.

It’s quite deep, obviously it can be polished out but not without impacting the engraving. Just shitty all around.

Ouch, that’s really unfortunate...I’d feel the same way you do, let’s see what they can do to make it right.

Very poor form from rolex. Accidents certainly happen and the person who has done it surely knows they have made a mistake. They should have come clean prior to sending the watch back. Even if rolex replace the piece, the sentimental value will be lost.

I wouldn't accept that. New parts or new watch.

Hopefully they can work a miracle with it! They need to make it right!

I noticed, and appreciated the birks! Wear mine everyday! Tempted to start a “your Rolex and your birks” thread... or not...

I'm telling you sending in to RSC is a crap shoot many times. You just don't know who you're going to get working on your watch.

Very sorry to hear that. I'd be pi$$ed. What’s going on with RSC lately?

Sorry to hear. That is not right. I'd like to see what RSC says about it.

I would accept nothing short of a new caseback and next service complimentary. If they even hesitate mention otherwise you will be leaving them a poor google business review online of the experience, see how quick they take care of you when their reputation is at risk.

I hear more horror stories then positive experiences from RSC.

I usually don't sweat the small stuff..... that's just unacceptable. I would make sure a new case back, with correct engravings is offered. You can't really fix that. How someone thought, "eh, no one will notice" is beyond me.
