But I agree that there does seem to be shorter wait times for the 2020 Subs.

Hey, readily available could mean that you can buy them at any time you want somewhere, as we all know you can. Price is not an object of discussion here. The real scarcity would mean that you cannot find them anywhere no matter the price.

The Hermes Birkin begs to differ.

Wanted a 41mm no date for my 40th birthday in Oct...wife put name on list at two local ADs - neither of which we had history with as clients. We were told it would likely be 2021 if anything...the first AD called me a few weeks later that they had one in so we picked it up. Today, the second AD called - same story. Maybe I just got lucky, or the 40th birthday occasion resonated with them?

Congrats on the watch and a belated birthday!

Anecdotally, I feel there's more stock now compared to the 11 series Sub from 2-3 years ago.

Officially and for the record!!! If anyone is offered a 126610LN from an AD and doesn't want to buy it, PLEASE PM ME IMMEDIATELY! I’ll buy it on the spot.

I think we saw the first wave. My ad said he'd be getting a total of six black subs (sub/sub date mix) through the end of the year. Very established, larger scale dealer.

Well all I can attest to is that I texted my guy at my local AD who Ive been buying from since August 2012 during the teaser and unveiling on the website with interest. So that was what September? Got the call November 7. He said I was the first one. They're a small AD so I believe him and even if I wasnt I dont care one bit. Less then 2 months is good in my book any day of the week.

Now as far as me getting a 116500? Still waiting but I will admit I have waned a good bit over the years and not kept myself in the fore front of his mind. So has Rolex ramped up production? I dont know but the day I got my 126610 there was another guy getting a new Rolex. Not sure what he got. Couldnt see that far away. My guy told me he had just got a shipment in that had some SS and TT Subs in it. All I know.

Think trying to source a SS Patek Nautilus, SS AP Royal Oak, and a new Daytona for good measure all in the same day and from an AD... times TEN!!! And it’s been that way this entire century with no end in sight.
