New Submariner inbound...

I've told the story about me getting a SubDate in June and offering it to my 19 year old son. He saves me thousands of dollars a semester getting a NCAA baseball scholarship and still keeping academic scholarships.

I heard lots of "jokes" about "can I be your son". At the time my son said..."No I don't need that I'll get one of your old ones one day". I really thought he just liked the Milgauss. Turns out my son just didn't want to take "my new watch". It has been sitting in the box with its existance almost unacknowledged. That's going to change!

I just got a call. Second SubDate inbound and now we will have "Father & Son" models. Going to be a good Christmas, a memorable Christmas...maybe one day he can wear mine and give his to his son.

That's all. Wanted to share. Not your normal "incoming" which I'm grateful for...if anyone cares I'll follow up with pics tomorrow.

This is what this hobby is all about. Make memories. Family first.

My boys are significantly younger than yours. Cannot wait to do this with them.

Sounds like you raised a good man. Glad you guys get to enjoy the sub date together. Definitely post side by side pictures!

Hope to do this with my crew someday.

Love stories like this - congrats! :)

Although over here in the UK, I bet most ADs wouldn't sell the same watch twice to any individual for fear of flipping!

Thanks for all the nice comments guys.

Woke up this morning with a weird feeling of panic.

I’m kind of on record that while I LOVE the new lugs but I’m not too pleased with the bracelet (lug, width and clasp).

Going to have to talk myself off the ledge on that one…feel free to help.:p
