Christopher, Go for the 112 it is more sporty, comes with 2 straps (the 183 comes with only one) and the Water Resistant is 300M on the Pam 112, the Pam 183 is only 100M.

That is just my .02

Toph-

I already sent you a PM of a few places to shop. I don't know much about the 112 as I prefer Radiomirs. I've seen 1 year old 183's going for $4000. Market is down!

Also, have you tried on the Lum and Rad yet? Just wondering b/c even though the Lum is smaller (44mm v. 45mm), it fits MUCH, MUCH bigger.

I just trade my Milgauss with 183. Feel so GREAT!!!
Since you don't have Luminor, please go for 112 first.
Good Luck, Pal!!!

Hey Mik, can you tell me the reason why 183 value is down in US? Because here in Asia, the price is still hot.
Please explain a bit to me, thanks.

Ok, here are my thoughts. They are just my thoughts!!!! I have no proof, but I'm CONSTANTLY looking for my next watch (which is currently most likely a 210 or 232).

Panerisit, love big watches right?
I'm seeing many flip there lesser watches to get the DSSD. I'm also seeing some of medium value watches (190, 232) being flipped as well. Also, the Daytona's are more plentiful in numbers and many claim to be selling their Pams to get their first Daytona. For some reason, the 183 and 210 are just not as popular as people REALLY want the 190 and 232. They get them and flip them.

Also, their are just fewer buyers I feel. Price naturally goes down. Every time I turn on the TV or radio over here all I hear about is how the economy is so bad. I lost over 25% on my investments this year. *sigh* Hard to justify a luxury watch when so much money is running out the door.

Thanks for your explaination.
So sorry to hear your lost.
I think economic problem is going global, not just in US.

$4000 is about right for 183 112 no idea. 183 just works for me good size low profile fits easily under cuff. You may look for 183 G series since the logos are reversed may have better resale in the future.

Thanks for all the help so far- especially you Mik.

I think I prefer the 183, the bigger size and a nicer shape IMO.

TR I would trade my Milgauss for the 183 if the deal is right too

The only Problem is here in the UK the MSRP is £3200 and they are selling for £3000. I might be able to get that down a bit. But that is $5500
It seems the best prices are in the USA once again

But I will do a little more research, and bargaining if i can- but watch this space..

Unfortunately the 2 watches are very different. In the end if you get one you will want the other also. To me the rads are dressier and not as chunky. That said I just purchased a 289 (gold 233) so we will see if the 231 gets more love. I tend to wear automatic luminors most days except with a suit. Just ease of use however I wear the manual winds occasionally as well. To me the 183 works well.

Please PM me as well...I have been thinking about the 183, and my AD has it, but at MSRP...a bit pricy...but for 4000, I wouldn't mind getting a used one. Thanks
