Donating?
It is a personal choice wether or not you would like to donate.
Although it is a nice gesture it isn't a requirement.
If you feel as though you want to donate, do it, but trying to shame people into feeling uncomfortable because they didn't donate isn't cool.
I assume and am only assuming your response is " That was not my intention", but unfortunately that is how it is perceived by me and many others.
Its kind of in a way calling people out.
How can you think starting a thread like this wouldn't cause more harm than good even if your intentions were genuinely good.
Now that you brought this up, you dragged attention to those who haven't donated.
Now those who haven't donated may be perceived differently by your thread as you brought attention to them.
I am sorry , but it isn't are business why they haven't donated.
It doesn't make me any cooler that I donated and pledged.
I am already a cool

he apologized, and he pledged for every eligible person who responded to the thread. what else do you want him to do, exile himself?

The OP apologized for potentially offending, and ponied up some pledges to atone. So why do you need to throw a brick through his window in this thread?

No I don’t want Mohammad to exile himself nor am I trying to throw a brick through a window. When I went to post my response to his thread it was closed. This was my response to his closed thread. Since he opened it back up I was just trying to get my reply out is all since he opened it back up.

Since he came out and apologized, that is good, but still hard to believe the intent.

If I offended anyone I am sorry as well.

I just think this is a great community and I’ve learned a lot from the members here, pledge members or not. You can still send a donation on the basis of just that, a donation and that’s it with no intent on becoming a pledge member. I’ve donated to other sites as with no intention on receiving anything not that this is the OP or anyone’s intention. I donated a Pledge, but I didn’t announce it ( I just did though). I did because it was my choice. I could rant forever but I’ll stop.

This really is a great place and I really much appreciate it.

Thank You to All You even the Lurkers.

Am I reading this correctly? You missed your opportunity to sling some mud on the closed thread, which was likely closed to avoid mudslinging. So you ignored his apology and his good deeds in the OP of this thread and went ahead with your mudslinging anyway? Throwing some more shade about his intent in this post.

You got your jabs in, but you don't look like the good guy here.

I don’t expect anyone to come to my defense as they probably feel they will be burnt at the stake. Like I said I feel I did the right thing and wether or not you feel I was muddslinging is totally up to you, but I wasn’t. I was just trying to stick up for those who I feel were being outed unfairly. Maybe I read the post wrong, but that was my take.
Again like I stated I apologize if I hurt anyone’s feelings in sticking up for others, but as we all know without getting political, almost anything hurts anyone’s feelings. Criticism is not a crime, but boy it seems it soon will.
P.S.
I didn’t attack him either at least I don’t think so.

Classy move OP. I REALLY like your style.

It’s an unfortunate thing, but print is easily misunderstood.

I think your intentions might have been misinterpreted by some, but there is no question that your heart is in the right place. /Salute

Mohammad, Read the thread and was not offended. Didn't bother to post in it as my opinion had been stated by others already.

FWIW, I didn't see the first thread. I assumed that people donate primarily when they want to post something for sale. That's the way most other sites work. I thought my incredible humor and self deprecation were more than enough!

Seriously, this site has commercial sponsors and Trusted Sellers who I imagine pay significant money to be here, and thought member posts were adding to the allure of the site without chipping in financially. Am I wrong?

OP I commented on your original thread and thought it was a valid question to pose.

Subsequently found this thread and found out you had pledged for the folks on the original post. My goodness what a magnificent gesture that was.

Hats off to your Sir.
